Gugulethu-Sofia Mbatha or Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actor from Britain who has gained recognition for her performance in the television show 'Doctor Who. This reality TV show ran from 2002-2005. The handler began to appear on various other programs, including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler has also worked as a correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler gained notoriety in 2006 hosting her own E! show. The Chelsea Handler Show. The Chelsea Handler Show ran for two years. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour on American soil in the following year. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have broadcast Handler's standup performance. In 2010, she was tapped to host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. In this way, she became the first woman to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
