Emily Procter

 

Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8th 1988,) is an American activist and actress. She was Ainsley Hayes in the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born October 8 on the 8th of October, 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician took her in as an infant . She was also adopted by Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh. She was three years old when her parents separated. She has an older brother, Whit who is adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was part of the student body Alpha Delta Pi. She was a television anchor for the WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she graduated with degrees in journalism, and dance.
